Paul is an experienced senior leader with a dynamic background spanning education, technology, manufacturing, and the not-for-profit sector. He has held prominent roles including CEO of Swimming New Zealand and Principal of New Plymouth Boys’ High School, bringing strong leadership to both sporting and academic arenas. His governance experience includes serving on the board of a large public hospital, as a local government Community Board member, and as a governor for various not-for-profit organisations.
In recent years, Paul has focused on strategy and change management, with a passion for solving complex problems and streamlining inefficient systems. A former national athlete, he represented New Zealand in Sprint Canoeing and holds multiple national titles in both Surf Life Saving and Canoeing—bringing the same drive and discipline from sport into his professional life.
